Chris Blackhurst - editor of The Independent - UPDATE

Chris Blackhurst will be addressing the Oxford Media Society at 7pm on Thursday 7th February in Lecture Room B, The Queen's College, Oxford

Chris is the editor of The Independent and has also worked as Group Editorial Director at the Independent and the Evening Standard. He is also the former Deputy Editor of the Daily Express and has particularly worked on City and Business sections in the past.

Free for Oxford Media Society members (£10 for a year)

Jackie Dixon - Founder of "Show Me Your Wardrobe" and Fashion Blogger

Fashion blogger and stylist Jackie Dixon is coming to address the Oxford Media Society on Thursday 31st January. 

Jackie is the founder of the top fashion blog and Sky TV programme 'Show Me Your Wardrobe". She is also the former fashion editor of Elle and has worked at Vogue and InStyle magazines.

Unfortunately Helen Lewis will be unable to make the talk tonight due to the adverse weather conditions . She sends her sincere apologies. We will hopefully rearrange the talk for a date later in the year, so watch this space!

Helen Lewis, Deputy Editor of the New Statesman

Helen Lewis is the Deputy Editor of the award-winning weekly political, cultural and current affairs magazine the New Statesman. Formerly, she was a features commissioner and sub-editor at the Daily Mail. Helen also writes on a variety of topics for a range of publications, including Edge magazine, the Stylist, The Sunday Times, Economia, Square Meal and The Guardian. Common subjects include gaming, feminism, comedy and politics.
